Bout to go to UGAnime.
Just returned from Red and Black staff meeting and now I've got two stories lined up.
A profile/preview of UGAnime's Mega Days of Anime week-long event, due this Sunday.
A review of the 360 game Crackdown due next Sunday.
Shouldn't be that tough. I feel good that I'm actually working and writing and getting my writing out there. It makes me feel more and more like this is the work I should be doing because there's little question as to whether or not your writing gets out there and the writing doesn't have to be so dry that you can't insert a good dose of creativity into it.
Still haven't heard from Stillpoint about the release date of the magazine, but I'm still excited about it, waiting eagerly. They've said that Stillpoint is going to be participating in a very big literary conference with other publications from around the country, so my stuff will be out there for all kinds of people to read.
Scary and exciting, all at once. I've never had a great deal of ego over my writing, never thought anything was really great, so all this exposure makes me feel fantastic, but it doesn't completely change my opinion of my own writing, so the prospect of all kinds of people reading it as a bit intimidating. But, you've gotta have confidence, right? Gotta believe in the value of what you do. So I'm going to try and do that.
