Christmas Recap
Well lets see. I worked the night prior so when I got off work I was so dang tired I walked in the door, fed the cat, and crashed out. Phone rings at 0715 and its work. Now mind you I have only been asleep for 45 minutes so I wasnt happy. Call ends and I crash out again. 0847 phone rings again. Its my parents insisting I get up and open my present they sent. So I comply and open the gift. BONUS!! IPod Nano 2 gig. 0939 I crash out again. 1012 phone rings. My son. Extremely fired up about the Anakin Force FX lightsaber I sent him for Christmas. At least thats what I was able to translate from the rapid speech and the continual sound FX coming from the back ground. Ex wife got on the phone then to ask how she could turn the volume down. (evil grin) I advised there was no volume control because no Jedi would dare turn down the volume on their lightsaber. Thats like trying to find a way to turn down the sound when you jack a round in a shotgun when you think someone it in your house at night. You WANT that sound heard just like you want someone to hear you powering up your saber of choice prior to Aggressive Negotiations...lol. Anyway 1120 something I go back to bed. 1311 phone rings. Some drunk is on my phone wanting to wish his sister Merry Christmas. I politly advise that he has the wrong number and hang up. Back to sleep. 1530 the alarm goes off...uuggghh. Shower, shave and walk out the door for work. Before leaving the complex I stop by one of my troops apartment because her mother has been nice enough to bring me 2 cases of Big Red soda. This is my legal drug of choice. Depart and arrive at work to try to work over the phone with some arab installer for the new IWS system for the base. I kept expecting him to say "get the hell out of my store!" This guy was extremely hard to understand but I muddled my way through it. Then a wonderful visit from fairygothmoth3r and wrstcasesnario with 2 plates of goodies! Needless to say the first plate disappeared by 2200 and I just finished the second one! Thank you both!! It was awesome. Well its 0240 now so Im gonna go finish my work the sit down in the lobby and watch Voyager disk 1 season 6 on the HUGE plasma. Christmas didnt turn out to be as bad as I thought it would. Thanks again to all my friends who made this one tolerable. Much luv!
