On Studying for finals, and the fundamental theorem of finite abelian groups.
So, my plan was to study for a final by comparing my own test answers to those which my professor has posted online, but here I am some 6-7 hours later with absolutely nothing to show for it. Isn't ADD fun? In the interim I have watch the new Futurama movie and played hours of Kingdom of Loathing. Of course I also hoped to do some reading as I have given myself an absolutely grand reading list for the christmas break. Funny thing is that most of them are math books, and a few to alleviate my concerns about learning c++ in an environment where I have to handle big projects. I hope I can get my collection library working early on in January.
Anyway, enough about stuff you don't know about and onto the abelian groups. See recently I have noticed some cyclic patterns in my life and I was wondering? is my life the direct product of cyclic groups? and if so,is it abelian? If it is then I really need to get the group law written down in a quick and easy definition, but I think, upon reflection that i may already have it. (see matt 7:12 and 4:48) Of course I feel that I am far from completely obeying that law, and it hardly seems commutative sometimes, but it's still a good rule. one might even say it's golden ^_^. By the way, you can tell if a group is abelian if the elements of it commute under the group law. It's a bit like karma, but for mathematicians. At any rate, we reap what we sow and I have faith that the seeds i am currently sowing are good ones.
Now if I can just figure out why I am such a fool when it comes to women... maybe it's cuz they're crazy and men are dumb.... BUt i'm not convinced of that yet. I think i know some sane women and smart men. But that might be my own ignorance.
I will see you all after the 20th. That is when this will be over for good or not so much. at least this chapter of it.
