kl trip 2006

The whole story. With pictorial evidents.
Kindly proceed with caution. It is a long one.

January 13, 2006: Pre-departure tension
This was the first time ever that everything was not settled yet a day before the trip.
We were still trying to figure out our transportation down to KL; whether or not we should rent two cars or go with one family van, and if a family van we decide on, which one we should take.
It was a very UPTIGHT day. Things went a little sour between a few friends and everything was just so close to falling to pieces.
But before office hours were over, we managed to rent a NAZA RIA and booked a room at NOVA HOTEL.
Other than that, my parents - till now - still assumed that I was taking a bus down to KL.
The family did not approve of us driving down, especially without much of a driving experience. While I thought it was not such a big deal, my mom did. She straight away declined any of my pleas (if ever I pled at all), which upset me because she was being her UNREASONABLE self again.
It killed my mood for the trip and I was so close to calling my friends and said I do not want to go down anymore.
But that was the day before, on Friday, I was too busy anticipating for the final decisions and headcounts that I did not even have the time to update my parents from time to time. I merely informed them that I will still be going down to KL. I nodded my head when they asked, "So you are taking the bus?" and avoided all sorts of contacts that may provoke betrayal.
That night, I was so tired from waiting for answers that I did not even have the strength to pack my bags. It took me hours, especially when I was chatting with everyone at once simultaneously.

January 14, 2006: Day 1
Final headcount: Ethan, Kuo Wei, me, Yi Shu, TJ, Harry, Dennis and Hubert.
Merely the trip down to KL was already fits of laughter.
Aside from that, TRANCE music all along. The guys love it.
Hubert had to take the bus down because his parents did not approve of rental cars. Therefore when we reached KL, we picked him up and headed towards the hotel to check in.
We had to separate into two groups of four because if ever we enter the hotel in a group of eight, they would definitely charge us extra. So we took turns to get our stuff up to our room.
The good thing about the room was, it was spacious enough to fit us all. There was a queen size bed, a single bed and a pullout couch. Definitely enough for us all to rest our heads on softer grounds.
After getting ourselves settled in, we left for MIDVALLEY MEGAMALL for a Japanese lunch and some shopping.
The first store we hit on was TOPSHOP. (And as the trip progressed, you will notice that we visited all the existing outlets in all the malls we were at) Here, I bought a pair of cargo pants. It was a good deal. 50% discount. $93. :)
We hung out at the mall for a while before we proceeded to KLCC.
There, we had CHILI'S for dinner, a frequent hangout spot for those who were in KL. The food were quite good.
By then, my eyes were already killing me for wearing the contacts the entire day and my legs were dying on me. I just wanted to lie down on the bed and sleep the night away.
Thus while in KLCC, I did not even have the mood to go to Kinokuniya - the most awesomest bookstore ever in Malaysia - like I have wanted to. :\
It was not the end when we returned to the hotel. We were going CLUBBING.
I was this close to forego probably the best clubbing experience I could ever have in Malaysia.

On our way to Zouk.
Clockwise: Yi Shu, Ethan, TJ and Dennis.
ZOUK. One of the most sought after clubbing spot in KL.
I have heard of words that KL's clubbing spots are far better than those in Penang. I did not have to experience it to believe it either. But when I am experiencing it, I fell in LOVE with it. :D
DJs for the night were FONO and BASS AGENTS. The latter was said to be one of the best Trance DJs out there. Yay.
Wow. What an experience it was!
We order two jugs of WHISKEY and a jug of BEER. They finished off *snaps fingers* just.like.that. I mean, my past clubbing escapades had left me getting tipsy before the second jug could be finished or giving away my second bottle of beer.
This was definitely the first.
Once the liquors were emptied, we went on to the dancefloor. I was not even a tad bit high. Yet I could not wait to hit the dancefloor.
It was nothing I have seen before. Clubbing scenes were mostly used as a tool to pick up chicks and grind against one another. Right? Right? Not this one. Hee.
Bass Agents' minions were all there on the dancefloor. Being amongst them was like being in some church praise and worship. Mostly the guys stood single on the dance floor. Every single one of them facing the DJ, bopping their heads to the catchy beats and shuffling if ever they knew how. Whenever the DJ built up the climax, they raised their hands and asked for it. They jumped to the beat. They hollered at a climax well-achieved.
The DJ was GOD that night. It was unbelievable.
One of the guys was Ethan and wow. I was definitely ASTOUNDED by him. lol. He was literally there to dance and listen to Trance. He did not even set eyes on any chicks there. It was only him and the DJ. Platform to floor.
Amazing.
I had a fucking good time there!
Best.clubbing.experience.ever.
It was nearing 3AM when we left.
They wanted to prolong the night going mamaking. I forewent this one. Seriously. I think my eyes died. O.O
I guess everything really ended at 4AM. 5AM.
*le sigh*

January 15, 2006: Day 2
Throughout the night, practically everyone's cell phone alarms were ringing off the hook. Each one of us had to take turns to crwl out of bed and shut it off because literally, everyone slept DEAD.
We were to wake up at 10AM. I did. I got up and brushed my teeth even. But everyone was still asleep thus I fell back into my bed and continued sleeping.
Everything eventually came alive nearing NOON. One by one, everyone woke up to shower and get ready for another day.
By the time we exited the hotel, it was already 2PM.
We walked to SUNGAI WANG PLAZA to have a late lunch over at Kim Gary's. It took us a while to get seated seeing that there were eight of us.

Ethan, Kuo Wei, Harry and Dennis.

Hubert, Yi Shu and Ethan.
Why are we waiting? Why are we waiting?
After lunch, we proceeded to LOT 10 while Harry and Dennis went ahead to Low Yat Plaza for some computer gadgets.
Another Topshop outlet tackled here. :)
We broke into groups here and decided to meet up at our car again at 5PM.
It took Yi Shu and I a while to get ourselves out of the malls (Sungai Wang Plaza and Lot 10 are connected and both of them are complicated as it is) and get our asses back to the hotel lobby. We were already half an hour late, but some of them were later than us anyways. :P
When we were all accounted for, we left for 1 UTAMA.

Hubert, TJ and Harry.

Dennis, Ethan, me and Yishu

Shady poser #4: Yi Shu.
The guys met up with more of their homies there. It became a bigger crowd sauntering around the mall a little before ending up at McD for dinner.

Dinner.
We loitered around the mall a little bit more, checking out yet another Topshop outlet, FCUK, Polo Ralph Lauren... before hopping onto the car and heading towards one of the posher district in KL - BANGSAR. All the rich people rally there. Enough said.
We had sweeties there as well as more mamaking. We sat up late until around 2AM.

But why is all the rum gone?

Ethan.

The boys.
On our way home, the guys bought a new stack of poker cards and three bottles of beer, planning to have some drinking games again.
However. The group ended up playing poker while the others either laze around the bed drifitng in and out of sleep or watching stupid TV shows.

Poker with the guys.
We could have turned in earlier. But no. Hubert, Ethan and Dennis stayed up finishing a bottle of beer each while the others watched a stupid movie about three mermaids until it finished. wtf.
By then, it was already 4AM.

January 16, 2006: Day 3
Well we were earlier that day. By an hour. Haha.
We missed our complimentary breakfast again.
We had to rush ourselves to get everything packed because check out time was nearing and the hotel merely gave us a half an hour extension.
But we managed to get out of there in time.
Our last lunch was cheaper than the previous meals. But the desserts, were the most expensive of all meals. Haha.
We found ourselves in STARHILL GALLERY, one of those malls with merely deisgners' stores and outlets. And we checked out this nice place called TIFFIN BAY.
It looked so nice we decided to stay and have some dessert.

Yi Shu and TJ.

Hubert manhandling his scone.

Ethan and wee Kuo Wei.

Finally. A group shot.
Clockwise: Kuo Wei, Ethan, me, Yi Shu, TJ, Harry, Dennis and Hubert.
By 3PM, we were out of there.
We dropped Hubert at the bus station and left enough seats for everyone for the trip home and was out of KL.
Thus, ended the trip.

Thinking of YOU.

Dennis, Harry (zz) and TJ.

Yi Shu.

Kuo Wei.

Ethan. Driving.

Me. FCUKed.
Overall, it was an AWESOME trip.
I have never really done anything like this with guys before. It was a whole new experisnce for me. Hearing profanities and dirty jokes throughout the trip. Learning to like Trance. Shopping for the guys.
It was fun.
I cannot say I had a 100% fun. Merely 95%. For some obvious reasons. Like a disappointing shopping trip. Meah.
But yet. It was fun being with the guys. They were witty and hilarious I cannot stop laughing to save my life. Hehe.
The end.
