Power supply frustration

The quick fix to that big power supply isn't going to be so easy. Closer inspection reveals that the 4mm sockets are special types with longer threads, made by Cliff. None of their distributors seems to stock 'em.

And now I want to test out Slackware 12.1 and the power supply in the PC is acting up again. It won't switch on, either due to bad capacitors or a dud startup resistor.

I've unbolted the baseplate from the Metpost at the bottom of the broken fence post. The replacement is a different make and it'll need to be drilled (8.5mm) to fit. Should be straightforward. Also sawed a few more logs off the tree in the back garden.
