I've cleaned all the hard-water scale off the rear kitchen window, having fixed the overflowing cistern that caused all the trouble in the first place. And I can now see the back garden!
Now, any decent tugurium should be surrounded on all sides by a hortus, that is, a garden. In extreme cases, a moat too. In my case, it's more of a weed-patch, but I don't know the Latin for that. So I spent some time today clipping down and digging up and generally removing the weeds, long grass and fallen tree that are making the garden into an embarrassing mess. Also dealt with a thorny bramble, a clump of runaway mint and some ants' nests.
On the front of the house, I fixed the clip that holds the drainpipe. Well, it's OK, but for some reason I couldn't find my Rawlplugs and the 68mm clip was too big for a 68mm downpipe. Oh well, I'll sort that out another day. Then I just couldn't resist fixing the tiles that had fallen off near the kitchen window. And I got most of the calcium scale off the kitchen tap and sink, in preparation for fixing the tap properly. In the inner sanctum of the tugurium, I have found some parts to fix my 12V, 8A power supply. It needs a new power-on indicator and a bigger smoothing capacitor.
As far as the Uni work goes, I now have the specifications for two of the four re-sit courseworks, and I've e-mailed to ask about the other two.
