Whole bunch of new stuff

It's been a while since I last wrote an update, so lots to mention today. Have now been to the dentist three times, and all went well. Better not leave it so long next time...

Did a couple of things that got onto the Make web site, the electric cycle rear lights and the Dell laptop power adaptor. So, I'm rather pleased with that. Did something else a bit whacky today, so I'll send that one in, too. It's a single-point stereo microphone for a MiniDisk recorder, made from two condenser mic inserts and the barrel of an old highlighter pen. The other half, in fact, of the pen that I used for the Dell power adaptor.

I found out the other day that Dorkbot is starting in Bristol, so I'll be going to that on Thursday. I want to get a robust version of the persistence-of-vision wand working for that, but my parts order didn't arrive on Friday. So, I'll have to make it up as far as I can, then hope the bits get here on Monday. Then, more Atmel assembly language code to finish off the software side of it. I seem to have a long list of projects that would be fun to do for Dorkbot, including stuff with neodymium magnets and stepper motors and that sort of thing. Hopefully, it'll be a bit of fun.
