Psp whooo , memory stick BOOOOO!
well i ALSO got a psp this weekend,(see BGs post)
completely unrelated bought the god of war psp pack
didnt get/know i needed a memstick, as i thought i could use the same card i use on the m3 ds real , (thanks again bg!)
and as i opened it up at walmart with lil patience ive come to notice differences in sales tactics, hardware and packaging, between nintendo and sony
Packaging:
-nintendo ds/micro sp and gameboys(all generations) come in a box cords and are packed with cardboard inserts, for easy access not much keeping you from opening it as soon as its in your possession, Preferably AFTER you bought it :-p
-Sonys first handheld venture, the psp is packed in Hard clear plastic, which makes it quite difficult to enjoy right away until you bring it home or somewhere with something sharp, or if you had the foresight to bring a boxcutter, which i did not- luckily i had one in the car though.

nintendo DS/various gbas has internal battery can play for days on end with a enery saving power down when you shut the lid.
and theres no memorycards required Also internal
psps battery power says it lasts for 3-5 hours depending on playing games or watching movies
AND you are required to buy at least a 2 gig memorystick that costs just as much as a game to save a single game or song- FAIL

affordable, some games are hit or miss, and not to many great ones coming out as should be,DEAthnote,KH, to name a few. sometimes games involving stylus, id like to call "lets get a hand cramp"
psp: 39.99 lil pricey but REALLY worth it, the graphics are visually pleasing like a interactive movie and the price doesnt change.

nintendo gives it all away, but sony makes you work and pay for it.

also got a used ps2 replacing my Dead one, for $9 at Unique thrift store. it was bare bones, no cables but i took it home and with the spare cables i had i found that the sound and picture worked just fine. only thing is the a/v cables i have are shite-y at best, so if i make a run to gamestop after work i should be good to go. eventually ill need a case and memory stick for the psp.
and lastly George Carlin and Tim russert have passed away within a week of each other of heart failure, they will be missed, they have been inspiration and influence on american life and laughter for many years, But HEART Failure could someone in the white house possess "*Bum bum bum* Dramatic reverb" ..a DEATH NOTE??! * totally retarded, but Plausible theory*
