I don't know the situation, but remember if you're misadvised you can always petition your way around it.

I wasnt really misadvised. It was taht since I had declared 2nd semester senior year and I was kinda behind, I was doing it in a time crunch. I was supposed to take the 2 Comp Sci classes I'm taking right now last semester and 2 of the 3 classes I was supposed to take next semester arent being offered this spring due to staffing problems (for example: the school cant afford to pay one of the professors to teach a class both semesters) so because of this unforseen problem I might not be able to take all the classes in time to graduate in 4 years. Oh well. The plan was: 2 comp sci classes this semester, 3 next semester, 3 fall 07, and 3 spring 08. Thus getting all all the minimum hour requirements and all taht jazz. But yea, we'll see what my advisor has to say on friday.

Summer classes, perhaps? I know they usually don't offer much in the way of specialized stuff, but how about asking a prof for an independant study?

ugh. maybe there will be some class you can take over the summer? I might be in the same boat as you actually, i may have taken too many classes in one field or some bullshit.

Sam, look back at all the classes from the department you have too many classes in and see if any of them are cross-listed with another department. You can petition to get those courses listed as being from the other department on your transcript and in that way bypass the whatever number-credit rule.

yay, i found out ill be fine, because as long as i take enough courses beyond 120 credits, it doesnt matter how much I got over the limit, basically i just need to take 72 credits outside of art history, and when i graduate i should have 78 credits outside, so looks like ill be graduating on time!

yea, I just have to wait and see what my advisor has to say on friday. One possible game plan is just stretching out my comp sci classes over the next 3 years instead of 2, and fill in the rest of the hours with easy A classes to boost up my GPA... but we'll see. If you havent yet, I suggest you meet withy our advisor about your problem hehe
