[Is it fate that has struck her down?]
Sorry I haven’t updated about my weekend so far. It’s been crazy crazy crazy and I feel like I don’t have the time to do much of anything. Okay, so here’s what happened.
Friday: Vanessa came home and we watched Jane! I was excited, but that wasn’t the best part of the day. Of course, the best was Gina’s party. I actually stayed home from school on Friday, but that’s okay, we don’t have to get into the whys or hows. We just have to know I wasn’t there but I showed up to Gina’s party, which rockified, I might have mentioned before. Or rather not. Anywho, the whole thing was really fun. We played telephone and that “this is a…” game and also the duck game, which was really fun. I know, especially when I write it out, that that sounds infinitely geeky, but I don’t really care. I had fun. Lots of pictures that are right now in the A&P getting developed. I can’t wait to get them back. ^.^ Anyway, it was good to see Sam and Max and Ryan.
Saturday: Kristina and I went down to the city to see The Phantom of the Opera. We actually made it out of my house without my father realizing that we were going unsupervised [dun dun dun], and Kristina had no problem with her parents, and we get to the city, go all the way to the East Side, and I see 4th avenue and I was like “…”, so we turned around and went back to the West Side. Not really BACK, because we were never there in the first place. Anyway, we waited on the TKTS line for an hour and a half only to be told that “No, there’s only ONE ticket for Phantom left”, so we went to go see Dracula instead [more on that later]. We went to 44th and cried at the Majestic [okay, Kristina cried… more like whined in anguish] and went into that cute little store and found Jane Eyre matchboxes… two left. We didn’t buy them, though… instead we went to go eat and our waited looked like Jude Law [yum], and it was lovely. Had hot wings. Kristina named one Jamesy, but unfortunately she didn’t get to lick the sauce off of it because there was none on it.
Soooo, we walked around aimlessly for a while. I thought that I had given the waited a tip that was actually $15 dollars instead of the $6 that we meant to leave him, but then I figured out that I didn’t. Heh. That would have been stupid of me, wouldn’t it? Then we went into this store and found a poster of Jane and we were all, “Yay! A Jane Poster!” We continued to flip through the posters and we came to this one that same “Now playing at the Something Theatre on Something West Somethingth Street” and we both got the same idea of “Dive for the Jane poster! See where the theatre was!!” So then we took a trip down to 47th street and groveled before the Bruce-Atkinson theatre and took pictures of the actual theatre and… I got the bright idea to take a picture of the stage door. I’m going to try to get it scanned into my computer and then draw Jamesy coming out with paint shop. It’s going to amuse me. ^.^
Right, so after that we went back to that little shop and bought to Jane Eyre matchboxes [hehehe], and then I think we headed over to the Dracula theatre and waited in line to get inside, saw the show, it was okay. It’s pretty sad that this is going to be my shortest paragraph, but I guess it just wasn’t as good as Dani was making it out to be. I’m glad I saw it, though. I know that Phantom’s not going anywhere, and I’ll eventually have my day.
Right, so even though we had to see Dracula instead of Phantom, I really enjoyed the day, anyway. I do conclude that it was a lot of fun and I was like “Sweeeeeeet libertyyyyyyyyyyy aaaat laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast!!” only not.
…
Sunday: Drove my sister back up to school. My options were either that or stay home with my father, and of course we all know what choice a smart person would pick. That’s right, go up to Bennington, stay in my sister’s dorm for ten minutes and then come back home. It was a lovely ride, we listened to Jane and Good Charlotte and other geeky bands that I don’t fee like mentioning right now. Then I had rehearsal, so it was basically we coming home, snarfing some macaroni and cheese and then jetting myself off to rehearsal, which upset me I think, though I can’t really remember why. I have a good guess as to why, but let’s not get into that, huh? Home, homework, bed. Late night.
Monday… Nothing eventful. Actually, during English I went to the nurse because I felt like my insides were melting or something, and she told me to lay down, so I thought to myself, “Yeah, I’ll just lay down for five minutes and then go back to class,” and I kind of feel asleep. I guess I was a little tired. I had rehearsal Monday, too. It was actually really fun. Well, not fun per se… especially because I got out so late and they made me stay and didn’t even have notes for us. What a pain in the ass.
Nothing good happened today either, though apparently there’s someone at work called Rock Boy. I was also denied rehearsal, either because I was the only person in the cast who wasn’t supposed to be there [wouldn’t be surprising], but I had work anyway. I wonder if they kicked me out of the show for that?
