Ah ha! I suspected I'd feel similarly if I do wind up with a tablet computer. I also heard there's a "clamshell" type tablet coming up, so I might wait for that. Or at least until they do something new other than an oversized iPhone (without the phone).
On Friday I said f' it and bought a nook, mostly because I knew I'd just drive myself insane until I bought it. I think that's the best way for me to handle the pre-paper writing procrastination, just to buy the thing and then look at it and pet it and say, yes, I'll play with you later.
I did get the 2nd gen nook although I debated the first. I decided I'd just be kicking myself for not getting the "latest" model so I dropped the extra $20.
I came very close to returning it when the turning pages bothered me, but I googled around and people said they get used to it. My favorite? Someone saying it takes less time to turn a page than it does to take a Dorito out of the bag. Haha, I was sold.
I spent the time after work on Friday until bedtime playing and getting a bunch of free ones. I'll email you shortly to find out your cheap sources ;)
