Stephen King's 2008 anthology Just After Sunset was another book I grabbed from the library on my way out the door, scanning titles for anything that caught my eye. Out of thirteen stories, I liked maybe five of them.
There's a story called "The Cat from Hell," which I completely forget from Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, but it follows a fairly typical setup. (This was one of the five I liked, but I always like stories with cats.)
HOWEVER, I will say, the best time to read the story is not when there's a CAT LAYING ON YOUR CHEST, purring and sleeping contentedly. When I got to a particularly gruesome part I shut the book, and kept glancing back and forth between the book and Trinity. Trin was fine, didn't think anything was wrong, but I was honestly scared she'd suddenly attack me.
I think I pushed her off not long after, the story was creepy.
