The past couple episodes' notes have more wtfs than any other.
I'm a little confused about how we got here.
I mean, I followed the events but I don't understand how they represent any kind of logic. So far I've loved the way the story panned out, everything contributed to the next event, but suddenly we're here and I'm frustrated because the characters don't make sense to me.
For instance, the guy Shancai met on her beach excursion had the weirdest backstory. He and his girlfriend went to the fishing village for a holiday and she left him there because he wouldn't become responsible. He wanders the beach at nights hoping she'll come back. Why would she come back? It's not like he's going to run across her, she'd have to go out of her way to travel back to the village. She went home, was going to move on with her life and leave the irresponsible boy. Yet Shancai encouraged Song to wait for the girl. Why didn't he go after her if he loved her so much? Why is waiting for her at some random fishing village going to get her back? Wouldn't doing something be more productive than just staying where they went on a holiday? Eric in Wonderfalls stayed at the falls when Heidi left him but he wasn't waiting for her to come back. I understand his story but not this one.
I know Daoming Si is upset that she told him she never loved him, but he had all the pieces, she told him Qinghe and Xiaoyou weren't safe if she stayed with him. Why is he jumping to this conclusion and sticking with it?
