Plan for tomorrow: tons of cleaning and marathon of BSG 4.0. My interest level in doing either is half, so perhaps together they = 100% motivation! They could cancel each other out, but I'm psyching myself up by thinking they'll go well together. I don't have to pay much attention to the first bunch of eps because I've already seen them. And, frankly, I don't really care for the show anymore. I didn't speak up at
bop_radar's
discussion of disillusionment (nor read all of it for fear of spoilers, although I've actively sought them out in other ways) but I heartily agree. The show crapped out.
A lot of people liked the early episodes but I had little enthusiasm until
iheartschnickle started watching and wanted to fan with me. (We've been fanning over books and shows since we were 13 and we had little else at the time.) To me, the highpoint of the show was the time leap. And yes, it's been so long since I've seen it or cared to remember that I don't know how many years they leapt. All I remember were the chills I had anticipating season 3, which satisfied me through the opening episodes but then fell flat. Leaps are tricky, and if someone has an example of a successful bridge, I'm open to hearing it. I give you freedom of medium from dramas to books. Alias doesn't count; I like Melissa George and loved Stark so I didn't hate as much as others, but even I admit the show fell apart. I blame Mission: Impossible 3 and Lost.
