I'm 6 minutes into 2.8 and just started on Cameron's Story. My first thoughts were "Neat, Rashomon" but had no idea they were going to
go there with Cameron and John. I'm squicked out and can't even look at the screen.
Couldn't they have found a better distractor in Riley? She's an idiot. She didn't set the alarm because she's an airhead. At least have John interested in someone who can hold a candle to him. How can he even find her attractive?
I suppose it's the contrast of a normal girl with normal worries against his own life. Sarah told him she wants him to have a normal life but, like John, I find that difficult to believe. He's rebelling and I totally approve of the gesture, but this is the person who comes between them? Maybe her mediocrity is a symbol that it didn't take much for the their issues to escalate?
I couldn't care less about Ellison's story. Sorry, but you bore me. While it's nice to recognize Jesse across my (former) fandom, I'm starting to really dig Brian Austin Green. I don't really like him with her, not because of my foolish fleeting thought about him and Cameron. She pulls me out of the show's buzz that it's sometimes weak in creating. I'll go weeks without watching an ep and find myself uninterested to continue.
Watching Cameron sex it up disturbs me. Please let the scene be short.
