Either no one decided to go to the tournament or they excluded me from the carpool, because I never heard about a ride. That's okay, I would've been useless today after working until close last night. I barely made any money, and I'd planned to make my entry fees during the shift.
Right now I'm sitting on mommy's couch with her laptop, smoking a cigarette and chilling out. I'd told her I'd try to leave around 10:30 this morning but that so didn't happen. When I got home last night at 3:30-ish I decided it was a good idea to watch Saw. What a stupid movie. I was amused to see Aceveda and the chick from Boston Legal-and of course, Cary Elwes with an American accent-but the writing was atrocious.
I was surprised to see Jigsaw being the "dead" body on the floor at the end. I thought that was a nice twist.
I'm about to go on a major 19th-century literature kick, complete with viewing of the mini-series adaptation. First in line is Bleak House by Charles Dickens since my dear Carey Mulligan (Sally Sparrow of Doctor Who's "Blink") has a role. I bought the book on my way to the metro to visit mama and started it during the commute. I'm only 50 pages into the 1,000+ page book so I don't know if Mulligan's a main character, but Ada Clare is mentioned in the back-of-the-book blurb and she's in all 15 episodes.
Reading along, I got to the first-person narrator of the book, Esther Summerson. Ironically enough, the actress who plays her was Suki in DW's first season episode, "The Long Game." She's another cutie.
Where did all these cute British actresses come from? And can they stay?
