Let's see if LJ doesn't eat this post.

Because it ate one I wrote on needing help with a database and I'm not going through typing that out again. Since this is inanity, I'm sure it will post just fine.

I've been listening to a lot of Loreena McKennitt of late, occasionally glancing at the wiki entries to get lyrics. I was thoroughly confused by "The Highwayman" until I read the entry. Didn't stop me from playing it multiple times, though. It's my new "The Lady of Shalott" which I listened to exhaustively my sophomore year in college.

"Bonny Portmore" from The Visit has always been a favorite, and only today did I finally nail down the words. I'm laughing, though, over this line from wiki:Amongst popular culture, Loreena McKennitt`s version of this song is famous for being the `Scotsman` theme of the Highlander franchise, often played during scenes of nostalgic longing on the part of its tortured Immortal Warriors.
"Scenes of nostalgic longing" should read: "Every time Adrian Paul cried. Which was every episode."

I watched too much of that show, and in marathon format. Never finished it, either. I always preferred the arc and mythology, how the immortals ran in and out of each others' lives. Duncan's angst got on my nerves.
