So
splifford told me when she sang happy birthday and brought me a cupcake with a candle after lunch. This is in addition to the Hugs & Kisses balloon I found on my chair this morning, and the rocking
Troll/Troll 2 DVD she gave me last night at
the bar when we happened to see each other. I suppose it's a good thing my friends know I'm all talk and no action. I'd been talking of buying this DVD ever since
madolan said she had a copy.
Plans for tonight involve movie-viewing, Trinity-hugging, and possibly some straightening up of the apartment. I went out for a little last night but didn't even make it really to my birthday. Got a few drinks from Mr. Quick,
splifford and another acquaintance-and wound up being sick by 11:30. Luckily Ma'd given me $20 that morning and so I had money for a cab and a bit of cheeseburger-chocolate-malt-splurging late-night at The Diner. Oh shush, at that point it was my birthday and I deserved to treat myself.
I also had two bizarre emails this morning which I thought were actually kind of cool: happy birthday wishes from
eonline with a list of celebrities who share my birthday (Danny Aiello and Nicole Kidman were the two I'm most familiar with) and also from
civfanatics. I'd totally forgotten I'd even put my birthday in on either site when I registered. I know they're automatically generated emails and no one at either site actually wishes me a happy birthday, but I also can't help but think it's a nice gesture. For people who have no people at all to give them a cupcake with a candle, at least there's some well-wishing.
