The Rapture
I'm amused that the Rapture was something somebody made up in the 1800s, and now we have millions of people who believe it's, ahem, Gospel Truth. (OK, I believe ALL religious teachings are something somebody just made up, but this one is extra-rediculous and you can point right to the people that just made it up.)
