After I went in this morning for my first TRX circuit training session (OW! - but in a good way!), the trainer asked me if I was still planning to come back in the afternoon for yoga as well.
When I confirmed that I was, he asked me to come in about a half hour early so we could do a body fat measurement and weigh-in.
Back when I came in for my original fitness exam, I was at 425 and 32% body fat.
Today, I was at 410 and 24% body fat.
8% never sounded so good. :)
The TRX is interesting. I was really proud of the fact that I was able to do almost all of the exercises in the circuit (with occasional modifications owing to my weight, condition, etx). The one he had me sit out of was a reverse body suspension - putting yourself on your back, putting the feet in the TRX stirrups, and basically doing a backwards push up to lift your whole body off the floor.
"This would kill you right now - but we'll get to where you can do this eventually," he said. I had to agree. :)
Still, I kept up with the rest of the class, and I was NOT the first-timer who had to run to the bathroom to puke about halfway through, so I'm pretty damn proud of that, too.
