Tokyo madness

Tokyo has been great so far. It is everything I dreamed it would be and more. No matter how many movies and TV shows I had seen it in, nothing prepaired me for the total assault on the senses when I arrived. EVERYTHING either beeps, flashes, or talks to you. Everywhere there is some new smell, good or bad. The subway and trains were not nearly as hard to lean as I thought. I thought the time difference didn:t bother me much until last night I went to sleep at 6:30pm and woke up and 4am. The inn is GREAT. It like a traditional house/apartment. So far I have met guests there from Greece, England, and Israel. So far I have been all around the Asakusa temple and market streets, walked along the Sumita river, walked though Akiba "electric town" and Ginza. I have been though Ueno Park and the campus of Tokyo University aka "Toudai." Today it has been raining. I got lost in a 15 floor department store, toured the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, ate the best shrimp tempura ever, and went to an art muesum that had Van Goghs "sunflowers" painting and some Renoir pieces. Now I think I am ready for a nap and an onsen "hot springs bath."
