[When the video on Ziva's gear snaps on, she's sitting on the floor, leaning against Vicky, her Arcanine, wrapped up in a thick blanket. She looks tired, vaguely ill, and definitely frustrated

[Although Toothless is not fond of the growing chill in the weather, those far-north islands he calls his homeland are pretty cool, even in the middle of the summer. He's not overly bothered yet... YET.]
[What DOES bother him is the fact that his favorite human looks out of sorts. Which is why he would be edging slowly up to her, squinting.]
[Worry? PAH. Worry is not in his vocabulary! ... Literally.]
[But all the same, he continues to look a little concerned.]
[She may have noticed during his time traveling with them that he doesn't seem to have much respect for personal space, which would be apparent in the way he's leaning over to sniff unsubtly at her sleeve.]
[THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG. WHAT IS IT?]
[Dragons don't get colds-- at least not like humans do. So he's baffled.]
[Not much is in your vocabulary yet! We'll have to work on that some more.]
[And if you spend too long invading her personal space, you might find out what it's like first hand. At least Ziva turns away and grabs a kleenex to sneeze into.]

[YES WE DO. Although Toothless will undoubtedly throw some frustrated pouting fits when it doesn't come easily right away.]
Skkh?
[He tilts his head. He's seen Hiccup sneeze before-- the kid WAS one of those pale slightly-sickly little things, after all. But he never... you know, really made the connection.]

[WHY WON'T MY MOUTH MAKE SOUNDS THE WAY I WANT IT TO? CLEARLY I MUST THRASH AROUND AND SKULK OFF TO BE ALONE.]
'S?
[He doesn't look too convinced... but he won't push the issue. ... Literally because short of PHYSICALLY pushing her, he doesn't know HOW to push the issue. So instead, an idea seemingly occurring to him, he abruptly turns away from her and plods off without a word.]
[... Only to return a few minutes later with a bag of beef jerky clutched in his large, clunky hands.]
[... And unless she either stops him or rapidly scoots out of the way, he will be upending the bag above her and showering her lap with loose scraps of dried meat.]

[Ziva watches him go, curious--and then oh geeze she sees that giant bag of meat and she's pretty sure that's way more sodium than she wants to eat right now. She holds up her hands NO THAT'S ALRIGHT REALLY.]
[Action] AW ALL RIGHT <3halfatailDecember 7 2011, 06:27:58 UTC
[But-- EATING. EATING HELPS.]
[Dragons think with their stomachs, and he just sort of assumes that humans are the same way. Just be glad he didn't chew the jerky up and swallow it BEFORE dumping it in your lap, Ziva.]
[He continues to shake the bag, although some of it probably ends up on the ground rather than on her when she tells him 'no']
[Needless to say, he looks a little confused. Why isn't she eating? Of course she needs to eat. What an odd human. Maybe they didn't like eating nearly as much as dragons did-- maybe THAT was why Hiccup always made those weird faces and shuddered when he took bites of the fish that Toothless lovingly regurgitated for him. :(]
[Maybe she needed a demonstration.]
[He grabs up a particularly large chunk of the dried meat from where it had fallen in the dirt (of course), and promptly chomps it down, head bobbing forward and back as he swallowed it with very little chewing, and then gave her an encouraging look.]
[What DOES bother him is the fact that his favorite human looks out of sorts. Which is why he would be edging slowly up to her, squinting.]

Toothless gets a little smile.]
I will be fine, Toothless. Don't worry.
[And she will endeavor not to sneeze on you.]

Yes.
[She blames the cold. The changing weather. Y'know. That kind of thing.]
After resting, I will be fine.

If you had chewed it up first, you probably would've learned some interesting words. Ziva can't curse in Hebrew anymore after all.]
...thank you, Toothless, but I do not need to eat right now.
[She'll try and get that bag and put some of the jerky back. Even if she did need to eat, she doesn't need to eat that much.]
