Wordlessly, she turns the video to face the couch she's been sleeping on, where a brown and tan egg is wrapped in blankets, twitching and beginning to crack. Ari's standing nearby, staring at the egg with his muzzle resting on the arm of the couch.]Tohru, the egg you ( Read more... )

It seems like a lot of people have those.

They are commonly bred, yes. I do not think they are very common in the wild.

So where do you get them from?

I received this one from a friend. Some of the people here specialize in breeding, instead of training.

Yeah I've heard of the Breeding Center.

You can get various eggs from them. There are others that have them, occasionally.

I am a trainer. My team does fight, but I do not force them to if they do not want to.

[All of her team really does kind of enjoy it, that she's seen.]

At least you're kind to them. It just feels too much like dog fighting to me.

[That's kinda literal in Ziva's case, what with her team full of dogs and/or vaguely canine-ish critters.]

If they enjoy it, I do not see the harm. It is a way to exercise their abilities, and they do learn from it.

Maybe, it just seems cruel.

[slight smile]

Perhaps my frame of reference is different than most.
