History:
Born in a rural county in Romania, Közi had all the experiences of the wealthy growing up. He was given a good, high level education and maintained the refined tastes of the upper class, though his family and peers all noticed a waning interest in the social norms of the time. Közi had, by fate alone, come into contact with a strange man one night, on a stroll through the grounds near his home. The man - whom he then learned was known as Mana - could be termed nothing other than a witch, and he had been interested in Közi for some time. He spoke of an immense power, something that ran deep within the family's bloodline, that had laid dormant from generation to generation - but he could feel it in the youngest heir. Naive in his young age, and eager to learn more of the mysterious being that spoke so freely to him of such taboos, Közi was immediately drawn to the man that would soon become his mentor.

He had been only a teen when first they met, and in his adult years, Közi had been fully immersed into the world of the dark craft. He had separated himself from his family, gone to study under Mana, who was the lone occupant of his own estate. By now deeply infatuated with the timeless witch, he hadn't hesitated for a moment when a blood oath was demanded of him - a pledge of loyalty in exchange for a full apprenticeship and the promise that Mana would, in turn, stay by his side. Their romance flourished, if one-sidedly, and Közi studied devoutly to master the craft that Mana so painstakingly dictated.

The times proved hard on them. Witches - though true witches were rarely discovered - were coming under harsh scrutiny under the church and its followers. Thinking it cleverly ironic, Mana had chosen a disguise that would land himself immunity from suspicion. He would disguise himself as a nun, and donning the habit, would remain in the church. Meanwhile Közi was to act as the sole owner of their estate; he was a man of established name, and as such far less likely to come under inquisition. Their plan worked for some time - however, as the months went on they grew careless. They were seen together, for Közi visited almost daily under the guise of prayer, and was overheard discussing the dark craft. The very next day Mana's chambers were searched, and having discovered a sacreligious tome, he was immediately accused of practicing the forbidden art.

Közi arrived to the scene of his lover, prepared to burn at the stake. Restrained from doing anything to save him, he was bound to watch, helpless, as Mana burned to death. Overcome by grief, but maintaining some semblance of wit, he managed to detail to the men that he had fallen under the witch's spell - that he had long been blackmailed, bound by pain of death to serve as the man's disciple. It was enough to land him before a private council that happily accepted his monetary persuasion and, absolving him of his so-called sins, allowed him home the following day.

He was met with a shock - for Mana, appearing quite alive and well, was waiting to greet him. He spoke in hushed tones of his ressurection, the chill of death - how it gripped him even then. And yet here his devotion had paid off, had earned him the unlife for which he'd been striving while still he lived. Közi knew of vampires, he was well read in their ways - though it had never occurred to him that the other had transcended so far as to become one of them, unsired. He was not so strong, he knew - and yet he desired to remain at Mana's side, through eternity if he could. He requested to be turned at the other's hand - and was, to his dismay, refused.

Time and again he requested the same, and time and again he was turned down. Közi, however, was no fool - Mana was making some attempt to be selfless - he claimed that he knew Közi well enough to understand that he would grow weary of eternity. His own opinion differed, and he ultimately decided that, one way or another, he would gain immortality for himself.

It took years to find another vampire - years of careful baiting and manipulation - years that marked him mortally older than his mentor. But it the end it was done. Közi had discovered the home of the Earl Dracula - Yu~ki - a vampire whose power he could barely comprehend. He contacted him, and with carefully placed wards spoke to him of a bargain. Yu~ki was alone - confined to solitude for all of time, already immortal and with no apparent knowledge of others around them. Közi would pledge to him an eternity of service, if Yu~ki would sire him in turn. A deal was struck, and Közi returned home as much a corpse as his lover.

He was met with rage - not at his change, but at his bargain. Already bound to Mana by blood, Közi's deal had unknowingly pledged Mana to Yu~ki in turn. Közi was nothing put property - a fool who had indebted one master to the next. It was Mana, then, who began to treat him as such - and Közi began to spend an increasing amount of time with his sire, who was willing still to treat him as an equal, and a student.

Things ebbed to a calm, and soon the three were at relative peace. Yu~ki was not unreasonable, and Mana was eager to learn of what the stronger vampire had to teach. It was soon Közi that found himself alienated from the two - paranoid regarding their closeness, and disgusted by their inhumane tendencies. He suggested that they part ways - by now he was relatively strong, and had surpassed Mana himself in power - and so his wards served him well in maintaining that it was only under the guise of finding Yu~ki a bride. Közi travelled with London to Mana, where he intended to remain apart from his sire for the rest of time.

Mana, unfortunately, remained victim to Közi's ill-struck bargain - and when Yu~ki showed interest in a particular bride, he was bound to retrieve her. She was already engaged to be wed - Közi, now long plagued by his immortality and the toil he faced in killing - saw the apparent evil in this - and strove to stop it. It was this that created the final rift between himself and the others, and he would ultimately side with the woman's mortal fiance - Klaha Jonathan Robert Harker - to destroy Yu~ki once and for all. He was killed in the process, though went willingly at Klaha's hand, comforted in that he had mortally wounded both Mana and Yu~ki before his fall.
