my fail amuses people.
So my Mom sits down next to me to watch a bit of Dream Team...again (& again).
These comments were from the...ummmm, the follow-up (err, I think?) "Dream Girls" episode, I think? The one with Jessica, Hyoyeon, Bora, and Krystal. Yeah. That one.
M: Omg, he's huge compared to her. [Referring to the Sangchu & Jessica pair-up] That...just looks wrong somehow.
Kei: MOM!! /diesdiesdies I-I mean, Jessica IS small, but still...!! (There's a big age difference, too!!)
M: Ohhhh, she's young. [Points to Krystal]
K: Yeah, she's actually Jessica's sister. Y'know, the blonde girl you said looked like a pixie next to Sangchu?
M: Ohhh, right. That one. I gotcha. |D
Then, there was the episode last week -- the one with the Dream Team trying to break the Women's Olympic Hurdle Team record? That one.
I guess she was still thinking about ages when she was watching this, because our conversation went something along these lines toward the end:
Mom: ... [Suddenly looks up] Hey, where's that young guy from last time? Is he still on the show?
Kei: LOL you mean Minho? Of course he is -- see? [Points to Minho on the screen] There he is!
M: Ohhh, okay. I was just wondering. [Goes back to painting nails...and then, suddenly looks up again] So how old IS he, anyway? Just wondering.
K: ......He's 18, Mom. (Going by ages here in America) Born two years before me.
M: Wow...really? Only 18............ [Looks thoughtful]
Then, (I KID YOU NOT), my mom starts staring at me, and gives me the WEIRDEST look.
...And then she starts grinning like she just heard the best joke in the world, looking from Minho on-screen...and then back to me.
K: keAsgngl/sksdz hg -- MOM. WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT???? DDD:
M: ...Kkkkkkk, so...that's gotta make you feel old, right? |DD [About Minho]
K: ......................Ummm, yeah,itkindofdoes. /sobs
I've been told I look young for my age, though, so I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MY MOM WAS TALKING ABOUT. ;A; B-But I love her sfm. Does she know something I don't think she knows.....???? Well, she probably figures I watch DT for a weekly dose of "that young guy" anyway -- although I adore Eunhyuk & Junho both in HUGE amounts (and they're older than me, so... =w=)
In any event, I still can't tell if my mom's accusing me of being old or being a noona fan. I'm leaning more towards the latter, though. /flails
But this suddenly reminds me of the klmsfn;g/aagkln/ag. WEIRD moment pluiecake (Chi), one of my other friends (we call her Italy), and I had while we were watching HB 11 together last month.
** During the "Let's Dress Yoogeun Up In The Clothes We Picked Out For Him" segment:
Chi: I think I like JongTae's outfit for him the best, but...I-I can't decide... ;;
Kei: I dunno...I kind of like OnKeyHo's outfit, too......
Italy: Yeah, they all look really cute on him, don't they? But I kind of like JongTae's better... [Chi & I stare at her] ...N-NOT BECAUSE I LIKE JONGHYUN BETTER OR ANYTHING. /is JongYu-biased
Kei: Or maybe your biases are trying to tell you something? [Teasing]
Chi: It's okay~ We all have our biases, right? [Motions to herself and Italy] I'm Key-biased, Italy is JongYu biased...
Italy: --W-Well, I like Minho, too...!
Chi: And Kei-chan is...................... [Smiiiiiiile]
Italy: ........ [SMIIIIILES]
And then, suddenly, the both of them LOOK AT ME with these knowing grins on their faces. Except I don't actually hear them or see them doing it; I was too busy actually watching the screen and paying attention to the episode!!
So, suddenly, I kind of feel two pairs of eyes on me...and I start spazzflailing.
K: kasnf;oisa'/nsag--WHAT, WHAT???! O____O;;;
Italy: Kei-chan~~ [Tackleglomps] We know who your bias is~~
Chi: Of course we do~~ [Pokespokespokes] Unni~~ You're the noona fan between us, right~~~~?
K: LOLOLLLLL -- WAITWHAT??? *_______*;;; I-I was watching the episode, so I wasn't paying attention to--
Italy: YOUR FAVORITE, KEI. 8DD WHO'S YOUR FAVORITE MEMBER OF SHINEE??
K: ...............Oh, that's easy! |D Taeminnie, of course!
C&I: [Start ROTFL-ing for the next minute on]
