Several of these, I just thought of now. :x But I didn't want to lose these ideas, so I'm putting them here. ♥ Hoping no one minds~...

I don't care if it's the truth. I don't care if it's a lie. Your smile makes me happy, even if only for this moment.

If I could see it one more time, that would be enough for me to fall asleep like this happily. That much, at least, I'm sure of.

One day, we'll laugh when we think about the past, living the present without a care, and embracing the future with open arms.

*AU (and wtf-ery) alert. >__<;;; This idea came to me out of nowhere, I swear, so please don't ask me to explain iiiiiiiiiiittttttt~~... [Keysmashes and rolls around on the floor for a bit longer]*

And Jaejoong couldn't help but marvel at the creature before him: all lean muscle and bronzed skin, altogether human, save for the russet foxlike ears sitting motionless atop the Pet's dark cropped hair and the tail barely a foot long tapping lightly against the linoleum with every passing second. It was as if all of his earlier doubts floated away with the unnerving atmosphere of the adoption center, stark white bleeding away into the backdrop of this hybrid being that sat on his haunches, staring up at Jaejoong expectantly as if waiting for a command.

As if he had been waiting all along for Jaejoong to come and consider what the man had once thought he would never even entertain as a thought.

"I want this one." Turning to the startled worker, Jaejoong felt his lips unconsciously tugging heavenwards. "How much do I need to pay up front?"

He watched as the SM employee glanced from the Pet to his clipboard, looking flustered. "I-I'm sorry, Kim-sshi...this one isn't for sale."

Jaejoong sighed. "Alright. Let me put it this way, then." A glint of pearly whites and a flash of a gold card later, he saw the white coat flinch. Perfect. "How much will you pay me to take him off your hands?"

The white coat visibly trembled at the sight of what rested in Jaejoong's open palm, eyes behind half-moon spectacles widening considerably.

It was amazing, really, the way money could make a person change their mind entirely.

"5,000,000 won." He peered at Jaejoong, who nodded and allowed the other man to take his charge card without any further delay. "Thank you very much, sir, for your patronage." Turning to the small counter in the small room with a cash register poised and ready to be used, the SM employee pulled out a small packet of forms. "After you finish filling these out, consider that Pet all yours."

"Thank you," was Jaejoong's automatic reply, taking the papers from the man before turning back to his new Pet. "So. Ready to go?"

He didn't anticipate the reaction he got from the Pet (he knew they couldn't speak without proper education beforehand - and the doctor had already told him that this one hadn't even been 'trained' yet): a wan but warm smile, along with a bounce to his step, graced the Pet's handsome features as he almost skipped to Jaejoong's side, the pads of his feet skidding on the tile when he stopped to lower his head at just enough of an incline to nuzzle Jaejoong's shoulder.

He heard a soft, pleased hum - almost a purr - from the Pet, rumbling from the tip of his wagging tail to the bridge of his nose. Jaejoong felt himself grinning before he could stop himself, ruffling the top of his new Pet's shaggy hair.

"Yah! I haven't even given you a name yet and you're all excited to see me?" Jaejoong idly ran his fingers across the surface of his Pet's fuzzy ears, marveling at the velvetlike texture. "Hmmmm. I guess I could go with my third idea for a name for you..." Laughing a bit when his Pet blinked, owlish gaze regarding him with obvious interest. "How does Yunho sound?"

"Yu--Yunho." Jaejoong gasped; he hadn't been expecting Yunho to try and speak so soon. It sounded a bit like broken Korean, but it was more than coherent. His husky low tone was clear, much clearer than he had expected -- clear enough to make his heart skip a beat, really (though he wasn't sure why). "...Yunhooooo."

"That's right." Jaejoong chuckled after a moment's hesitation, rubbing the firm skin stretched over Yunho's cheekbones. "You're Yunho-ah. And my name," Jaejoong took Yunho's hand and pressed it to his own chest, right over his palpitating heart, "is Jaejoong."

"J-Jaejoo...Jaejoong...-ah." It was shaky, but it was a start. Jaejoong patted Yunho's head once more. The Pet seemed to derive great amounts of joy from this, letting his eyes flutter shut and making an unintelligible noise of contentment. "Jaejoong-ah."

"Yunho-ah." Really, it was nice to hear his name on someone -- something, Jaejoong reminded himself with a start, realizing his almost-mistake -- else's lips. "You're going to be my Pet from now on. That's okay with you, right?"

And, sure enough, Yunho nuzzled into his shoulder again (sinewy arms wrapping protectively around Jaejoong's waist, tight but not too tight, a genuine gesture of affection). It was enough to make Jaejoong think he hadn't made a mistake in coming here, after all.
