Since everyone else did it, that is. Still trying to convince Hilary to be a little creative. But she says her creativity should be on the stage.

So I make faces at her. :)

"Hey, Squirt," DG said as she dropped down next to Kenna and set a plastic tub on the table.

"What's that?" Kenna asked, sitting up and leaning forward slightly to see what was in the box.

"This?" DG asked with a smile. "This is my old craft box and, I thought, since we've got some time together... we could skip out on school and get straight to art class." Kenna gave her a smile and nodded.

As DG pulled various crafting items out of the box, Kenna watched in fascination. She loved spending time with DG and Azkadellia, because neither of them were anything like any of the women she'd ever known. "Is Azzie coming?" Kenna asked as she reached for some silk flowers.

"I don't know," DG said, pulling out a bag and frowning as she looked at the contents.

"Why do you have unreal flowers?" Kenna asked, holding up the small bouquet. DG looked at her for a second and tried to remember what they were for. Holding up a finger, DG stood up and dug through the rest of the box.

"Aha!" she cheered and sat down again. "She's a little squished," DG shrugged and held the small, yellow fairy out for Kenna.

"You made that?" Kenna asked, amazed.

"Sure did. Made about a hundred of them, actually. I had a fairy phase," DG said off-handedly. "Had a blanket phase," she added with a nod.

"Blanket?" Kenna asked with a frown.

"Yep," DG nodded. "I made blankets... for friends, mostly. Or anybody who watned one." DG clapped her hands together. "Take two pieces of fabric, put them together. Then," she nodded, "you cut down the edge, then tie them together."

Glancing at the box, DG frowned slightly. "I don't have the stuff to make a blanket, but..." she trailed, noticing that Kenna hadn't put the fairy down. "We do have the stuff to make a few of these." She pointed to the yellow silk flower and pipcleaner-person.

"Do you have lillies?" Kenna asked, pointing to the boquet of silk dasies. DG frowned slightly and looked in the box again.

"No lillies... why?" she asked as Kenna's eyes moved to the table.

"Daddy likes the orange lillies best." Maybe a Lily fairy would make him feel better.

DG glanced at the clock on the wall and smiled. Leaning close to Kenna, she whispered, "What do you say... we go find Az and we go get some pizza-" The smile Kenna tried to hide only made DG grin wider. "And we can go to the store and buy a whole bunch of stuff to fill this box up."

"Some orange lillies?" Kenna asked in a whisper.

"Every color," DG winked. "You go find your coat and I'll find Az."

Wyatt moved into the kitchen and stepped around Adora, stopping for a moment to kiss her shoulder. "Hey, Sweetheart."

"Hello," she said with a smile, as his kiss repeated just behind her ear. She sighed as his arms wrapped around her waist and set the rolling pin aside.

"Whatcha doin'?" Wyatt asked, glancing at the mess on the counter. Adora simply smiled and flicked her flour-covered fingers at him. Wyatt made a face and reached around her other side, snagging one of the small desserts of the tray.

"You're not gonna like it," Adora sing-songed and reached for the small cookie cutter. Wyatt made another face and popped the small tart into his mouth. When his nose scrunched up, Adora grinned.

Wyatt managed to finished chewing and made a gagging sound as he swallowed. "That's disgusting," he mumbled and moved to the sink for a glass of water to wash the taste out of his mouth.

"Told ya you weren't gonna like it," she said, shaking her head.

"What is that?"

"Mince," Adora replied, cutting circles of dough for the rest of the batch.

"That's not mint, 'dor," Wyatt said, leaning against the counter. Adora turned and shook her head.

"No, Wyatt, not mint. Mince. With a cee."

"You know, we really don't have to do this," Hilary said as the waiter led them to the table. Behind her, Wyatt nudged her along, his hand on her lower back.

"Oh, we do," he said with a nod. As the waiter stopped at their corner table, Wyatt helped Hilary out of her coat, hung it on the coat rack just to the side and then reached up to remove his scarf and coat.

Another waiter arrived table-side as Wyatt pulled his own chair out. "Ah, Missus Singer-Sherwood. Mister Cain. Has it been an annual, already?" Hilary and Wyatt both smiled and nodded. "Will be having your usual, this evening?" he asked, glancing between the two of them.

Wyatt shrugged his shoulders slightly and looked at Hilary. "What do you say, Hil? Should we live a little? Try something different?"

"Please," DG whined. She was trying everything, from clasped hands to the frowny pout to the puppy eyes. "It's just for two hours, one time." Over in the corner, Wyatt was ducking his head, trying to be quiet.

"I can hear you," Garrett said, glaring over his shoulder. Wyatt bit his lip, but that didn't stop his whole body from shaking with laughter.

"Please, Mister Gare," DG said in a childish-tone. "It's for the kids."

Garrett blinked slowly and let out a slow breath. His eyes shifted slightly as Wyatt gasped for air and wiped at his eyes. "On one condition, Princess," Garrett said and raised an eyebrow, smirking slightly.

The sudden silence made Wyatt's head pop up. "Aw, hell..." he muttered.

Kenna peeked around the corner and saw Wyatt sitting at the desk, writing something. Turning back as Dizzy pushed on her back, Kenna gave her a look and moved away from the wall. "Let me say it," Kenna ordered quietly. Diz followed close behind, almost holding on to Kenna's skirt as the girls moved through the living room.

Stopping at the edge of the desk, Kenna watched as Wyatt continued to look at his work. "Yes?" he asked, without looking up. Kenna glared at Diz again, as the younger girl pushed her. When Kenna looked back, Wyatt was looking at her.

"Daddy," Kenna started, then promptly looked at the desk.

"We wanna see Anndree!" Dizzy stated, giving Wyatt a wide-eyed, innocent look, which she'd been perfecting with her fathers. Wyatt raised an eyebrow and leaned back in his chair as Kenna turned on Diz and glared. When Diz made a face back to Kenna, Wyatt had to reach up and cover his mouth to hide the smile.

When Kenna turned back, Wyatt blinked and watched her. "Dizzy and me talked-"

"Dizzy and I," Wyatt corrected.

"Dizzy and I talked and want to give, um, something to the twins, so we need to see Aunt Audree to make sure that we can give them to them."

Adora leaned over to tie up her boot as Wyatt moved around the back corner of the jail that served as his home. Raising her eyes slightly, Adora followed his movements for a moment then looked back down to her boot. With a sigh, she pushed herself up from the cot and stepped in front of Wyatt.

"Are you all right?" she asked, grabbing his hands and ducking her head slightly to catch his eye. "You're jumpier than a Guild Fighter, Sheriff," she told him with a crooked smile. She could see the muscles in his jaw clench as Wyatt tried to avoid looking at her. Half a second later, his eyes moved to hers and he pulled her close.

"This is bad," he mumbled, leaning forward to press their foreheads together. Adora couldn't help but smile.

"You never shared your bed with a girl and had to deal with her the next morning?" she teased. Wyatt's non-answer caused her to frown and pull back slightly.

"What?" Wyatt asked, his eyes sparkling slightly as she stared at him. "Is it so hard to believe I'm a proper young man?"

"I never said that," Adora replied, shaking her head slightly. Wyatt felt the smirk creeping and nodded slightly.

"Not everything is said with your mouth," he said in a low growl, tracing a thumb over her lips.

Adora sucked in a breath and pulled away from him. "Well, you could have fooled me," she said with a nod and waved quickly to his person. Wyatt's eyebrow went up and his mouth opened.

Letting out a snort, Wyatt shook his head, but didn't budge. "Why, Sheriff Springer..."

Adora made a face at him and leaned back. "I'll have you know I am a proper young lady."

Wyatt smirked again and closed the gap between them. "Well," he growled, pulling her hips to his, "you were."

"Wyatt?" Hilary asked, arms crossed and glaring at him from the doorway. When he looked up, she raised an eyebrow. "Why exactly is my daughter in a time out?" Wyatt returned his gaze to the newspaper article he'd been reading and reached for his mug.

"And how was the Garden Club luncheon, Hil?" Wyatt asked, ignoring her question and taking a sip of his tea. At the sound of Hilary Booth getting agrier, Wyatt let out a breath and set his drink down, then folded up the paper and pushed himself out of the chair.

Moving over to the doorway, Wyatt stopped next to Hilary and gave her a look. "Because you told her not to go behind the candy counter. Twice." Stepping away from Hilary, Wyatt moved over to the coat rack, just inside the door of the Singer-Sherwood's Emerald apartment.

"By the way... you're out of Raisinets."

Adora moved into the bedroom as Wyatt yelled through the door. "What's going on?" she asked DG and Garrett. Garrett made a face and waved at the bathroom door while DG leaned toward the door again.

"Come on, Cain. You promised."

"Like hell I did!" the three of them heard from the other side of the door. Garrett rolled his eyes and waved DG aside.

"Quit acting like a little girl! Man up and put on the damn tights."

"You put on the damn tights!" Adora's eyes widened at the tone of Wyatt's voice. She pointed at Garrett and gave him a look. 'Out' she mouthed and pointed at the hallway again. As Garrett backed away from the door, Adora knocked.

"Wyatt, please let me in. I sent Garrett out." The only sound that followed was the sound of the lock being turned. Adora gave Garrett another look and waited for him to be pushed into the hallway by DG.

She pushed into the bathroom and jumped as she looked up. Wyatt was standing in center of the bathroom, wearing a greet jacket striped tights and bright red shoes with little bells on the tips.

Wyatt gave her a glare and pointed. "Don't you laugh." Adora pressed her lips together and shook her head, but she was having trouble hiding the smile. Wyatt moved toward her and pressed her against the counter. "You're laughing at me," he said with a growl.

Adora closed her eyes and shook her head. "Mmm mm," she said behind tightly-pressed lips, while her whole body shook with a laugh. Wyatt leaned closer and Adora leaned back and opened her eyes. She reached for the elf hat, sitting on the counter and held it up in front of her face.

"If you do this for Deeg," she said quietly, hat still covering all but her eyes, "tonight... I'll wear this hat." At the slight narrowing of Wyatt's eyes, Adora lowered the hat and added: "And only this hat."

Wyatt's eyes widened as he looked from Adora to the hat and back. Adora leaned sideways and reached for the makeup bag Hilary kept insisting she use. As she made a face at the stuff in the bag, Adora finally pulled out a lipstick and fiddled with it for a moment.

Wyatt jerked back and gave her a look. "What are you doin' with that?"

Adora waved Wyatt back with her finger. "Just the hat." Wyatt grunted and frowned as she grabbed his chin and turned his face to the side. "When I went to Pittsburgh, to the ballet, they all had red cheeks." She pressed the lipstick to his cheek and then smudged the color with her thumb.

"You gonna put this crap on Garrett, too?" Adora grinned and did the same to Wyatt's other cheek. As Adora recapped the lipstick and reached for a tissue, Wyatt leaned close. "Can I tell you a secret?" Adora nodded.

"These tights," he whispered, trying not to smile, "are looser than my brown pants." Adora laughed and placed the hat on top of his head.

"Mommy," Kenna asked, moving over to the chair Adora was sitting in.

Adora hooked her finger over the edge of the book and looked up. "Yes, Munchkin?"

"Can I have some cocoa, please?" Adora smiled and nodded.

"That sounds wonderful." Kenna smiled and Adora reached for the small ribbon she was using to hold her page. "Would you like to make it, Ken?" The small flash in Kenna's eyes made Adora smile as she closed the book.

Standing up, Adora set the book down on the chair and pulled Kenna toward her. As Kenna's cheek pressed against her hip, Adora put an arm around her and looked down. "I can't wait until you're a few inches taller, kiddo, so that I can kiss you from here."

"Mama," Kenna grumbled. Adora laughed and nodded toward the kitchen.

"Will you get this stuff of my face, 'dor?" Wyatt asked as he moved into the bedroom and tossed the hat onto the bed. Adora waved him into the bathroom and motioned for him to sit on the counter.

"Wait," she said, turning him toward her, "take off the coat." Adora watched as Wyatt shrugged out of the green elfin jacket. As he hopped up onto the counter, Adora reached down and helped Wyatt's feet out of the green slippers. She gave them a shake and saw his eyes roll slightly as the bells tinkled.

"Did the kids have a good time?" she asked, stepping between his legs and reaching around Wyatt for the jar of cold cream Hilary had given her for removing makeup.

"They did," he said in a monotone. Adora smiled and straightened.

"Did you have a good time?" she asked, trying to bite back the smile as she unscrewed the lid on the jar.

"I did," Wyatt replied. "Cold," he hissed as Adora's cold cream-covered fingers made contact with his cheek. Adora raised an eyebrow and turned the jar so that he could see the label. "Funny," he grumbled.

Adora finished applying the cold cream to Wyatt's lipstick-covered cheeks. "Ahh," she warned as Wyatt reached for a washcloth. pointing at him, Adora's eyes narrowed. "Let it sit. Take those off," she said, pointing to Wyatt's red tights. "I'll get you some pants." She picked up the shoes and the jacket and left the bathroom.

Wyatt hopped off the counter and huffed as he pulled the tights off. Wincing slightly, he adjusted the legs of his undershorts. Probably wasn't the best idea he ever had to wear the shorts under the tights, but... kids. Turning around, he looked in the mirror and turned his head side to side to examine his white cheeks. He grabbed the washcloth and turned on the faucet.

As he wiped at his cheek, Wyatt heard from behind him, "I thought I said to let it sit." His eyes shifted in the mirror and one eyebrow went up. Turning, Wyatt dropped the washcloth into the sink and gave Adora a look-over. She was leaning against the door frame, wearing the coat, the shoes and the hat... and nothing else.

Adora watched from the bench as DG and Jeb eased Kenna onto the icy surface. As soon as the weather had turned cold, DG insisted that Central City Square be transformed into a gathering place for the Zonians to converge. It was the first time in annuals that Central City had been decorated for the Ozma festival, and seeing the lights and merriment was truly helping the people to adjust to life without the Sorceress.

Jeff sat down next to Adora, a bundled Isadora with him, and he waved her tiny arm toward Hilary and Scott, who had just skated past the princess and her newest charge. Kenna was latched on to Jeb and it had taken him a good ten minutes just to get her to stand at the edge of the ice. Once Jeb had reminded Kenna that they'd seen the park, just a few days before, and that there was no water underneath the ice sheet, progress had been made.

Adora smiled and waved to Kenna when the seven-annual-old looked up, a mix of panic and glee on her daughter's face. As a light snow began to fall, Kenna's face lit up and she reached a hand out to catch the snowflakes. Adora glanced up at the sky and smiled sadly. Looking over to Jeff and Diz, Adora smiled at Hilary as she and Scott left the ice sheet and headed their way.

"How is my birthday girl?" Hilary asked, reaching for Diz. Adora's eyes shifted, once again, to Kenna, and she wondered if it was Kenna's birthday yet.

At the sound of DG's fit, Az set her book down and slowly moved to the library door. DG was in the middle of the hall, pacing and mumbling to herself. "Deeg?" Az called to her. "Are you all right?"

DG huffed and gave her big sister an annoyed frown. "He is the biggest... stupid..." Az couldn't help but smile.

"Still hasn't asked?" It didn't take a team of Zone scientists to know just who DG was talking about nor what he hadn't yet done. "Deeg," Az said as she moved toward DG, "come here." She took DG's hand and led her to the nearest window seat.

DG dropped down to the cushion with a flump and groaned. "How much more obvious can I make it? I've dropped hints!" Az simply sat, waiting for DG to get it out of her system. "I mean, I know the guys back home were thick, but God..." she groaned.

"Ask him," Az said simply.

"If he can't get a hundred hints, Az, asking him why he isn't-"

"No, Deeg," Az said, reaching for DG's hands, "Ask him." She smiled at the blank look on DG's face. "I love you little sister," Az huffed and hauled DG off the window seat, ", but if you don't march your butt down there, right now, and ask Jeb Cain to marry you, I'll do it for you.
