Re: Inmate Consequences/Punishments fireworkbubbles March 7 2010, 17:37:08 UTC
While I'm new here, I have to agree with my other two Wardens. I don't know very many inmates. However, I know one, and am coming to know my own. My own has other things that need to be taken, before imprisonment. There are far worse punishments for him, than simply being locked up.

Creed is the one I know well. I know what imprisonment does to him, having experienced it first hand. He is one I would recommend against confining too often.

Communication is going to be a key. There are certain crimes where a lockdown will be absolutely necessary - torture, rape, killing; all these are possible of our inmates and locking them up for these actions should be a first response, no matter which Wardens are involved.

Perhaps, in the interest of communication, each Warden should share a list of temporary punishments appropriate for their Inmate. Something to act as a stop-gap until the Warden can be informed. Now, again, this would only be for minor infractions, but at least everyone would know what the individual Wardens believed appropriate for their Inmates.
