Food! It's not often Herself and I get two days at home on a weekend with nothing specific to do, so we cleaned a bit and cooked a lot.
Saturday breakfast was a few scrambled eggs and coffee before the Farmer's Market, then grocery shopping and home. We both kinda picked for the afternoon, and dinner was a spectacular shrimp, andouille, and chicken jambalaya. As it turned out, Sarah did the all cooking on Saturday!
On Sunday I was sadly fighting a serious case of the pricklies (as in *everything* was bugging me) so I reverted to default programming. From our kitchen came a breakfast of bacon, fried eggs, and toast, a huge pot of Sunday Gravy (slow-simmered red sauce with meat, to you non-Goombahs out there) over rigatoni, homemade guacamole, and salsa fresca which happened to be the leftover chopped veg (peppers, onions, tomatoes) I didn't use in the guac. As it turned out, I did all the cooking on Sunday!
Food is love, and cooking is ABSOLUTELY therapy!
