I'm feeling that before a week has passed this will be declared a "humanitarian crisis". Before two weeks have passed (but likely within that same week) we'll see a surge in unhindered border crossings from Mexico, which will also be called by that same name.
Pretty sure not this Sunday but the following (9/13) will see the TV talk shows discussing this matter, with an emphasis on opening our borders further before the UN decides to do it for us.
Not passing judgment on any aspect of this situation in this post, merely saying what I see.
