Just putting it out there

Many things I want to do in my life require a place of my own. That's just practicality, since it's awfully hard to set up even a small workshop, brewing/vintning area, or catering kitchen in an apartment building. And gardening...yeah, that'll happen at our current place.
I'm sure sarahbyrdd has her own list as mine below, and this place will be ours, but this is my LJ so I'm using pronouns as I wish
;-D

Having said that, here's what I want & want to do when I move into a place of my own:
- Have a catering kitchen and/or restaurant & Tavern (shocker, I know)
- If that first thing doesn't happen right away, then a house with 3 kitchens. Lemme 'splain...all the old Italian familes had three kitchens: The one for the house, the "holiday" or canning kitchen which was usually downstairs and where you did all the hot work in the summer and did all the Holiday frying so you didn't stink up the house with it. The third kitchen was outside, and it wasn't just a gas grill either! Most times it was a large built-up brick fireplace where the old men would gather with their wine & grappa and chat while the ladies were sitting in the shade saying how glad they were the men were out of their hair. My outdoor kitchen will make my Pop happy to look down on, I hope!
- Have a garden, with most of what we'd need for our own use and maybe a little to swell or swap. Fruit orchards are included in this garden.
- Make wine using my grandfather's press.
- Make beer and cider, preferably from our own hops & apples.
- Have someplace where I can fuss over the little wood projects I have in my head. And leave them half-finished for a couple days too if I need to...without having to clean up because I'm working in the living room (don't ask).
- Have a dog or 2. I lost my dog Jack in 2001, and while Miss Bug is the Best Kitten in the World, I miss dogs around the house. So much so in fact that I dreamt of just that last night :-)
- Have someplace where, even just once, I can invite whomever I want over for a summer party and not have them trip over each other in the house or yard.
EDIT: Music! There needs to be music in my place, whether it's my Tavern or my backyard. :-)

Guess that's all for one post, but it's a start. :-D
