I am just not getting going today...

Half the reason is that I want to carry on reading Waiting to Fall, and working on the Paper Library, and replying to people talking about the lads - and the next quarter is because I want to be digging my veggie beds ready for compost to be delivered tomorrow, and the rest is because I have two docs today, neither simple, and the first of which is ( Read more... )

Oh, that tooth. While I've read about Doyle's chipped tooth in fanfic, I've never actually been able to notice it before (perhaps due to bad video quality). You can see it in that last photo, though. :B

I love all of these, especially the top one of Martin looking a bit pissed off (possibly with Lewis?!). I'll take that back... maybe they're just tired 'cos Lewis is looking pretty pissed/tired as well.

The top ones are from the Runner photoshoots - I always think they look great in that episode, and I like the episode, and I love how you can practically feel the warmth of the days in it... *g* But yeah, I guess they're looking somewhat tired/pissed off in the pics above! They're from the scene where they go to meet Bodie's informer, and are shot at - maybe they spent longer than they wanted to running backwards and forwards between the cars! *g*

(Argh - why does lj now insist on converting my hyphens to em-dashes. I hate em-dashes, what a waste of space!)

Thanks for that information and yes, I do remember the scene where they're running around a lot and getting shot at. There's a fairly well known photo of MS wearing his tartan jacket with his hand placed on his hip, standing against a car and I *think* that's from the same scene or shoot (not certain) but it's there he looks very long-suffering as if he's waiting for Bodie to stop buggering around and get on with it!. Pure speculation on my part.

Oh, you don't know Bodie and Doyle - how patient you must be with my lj at times! *g*

Bodie and Doyle were agents with CI5 - they were The Professionals, way way back from 1977-1983... I watched the show when it was on originally in Australia when I was a teenager, and loved it, then moved over to the UK and life happened and so on. Fast-forward to 2005 and I was putting together a list of tv shows and films for a dvds-in-the-post service, and came across Pros again. I used to love that, I thought, I wonder if I'd still like it... and I stuck the first disc on my list. It was actually the first dvd that they sent to me - and in a hazy daze of nostalgic joy I fell in love with them all over again, and checked the internet to see if there were more episodes available. And among the results was a link to something that turned out to be fanfiction... *vbg* And my re-obsession was born, and ever so slightly expanded ( ... )

Fantastic!! I love the opening credits! Very much like Starskey and Hutch. I love that old 80s tv theme song too!

That is wonderful that you were able to connect with a whole fandom for a show of this age. I would never have thought there would be people around for older shows. That is so fun and amazing! I totally get your love for the show. I have the same feeling for Miami Vice. It was a whole era of tv that was so fun!!

Thanks for introducing me to your lads! I'm so happy there are people who keep these old series alive!

I do like that top right image...i feel a *melting* moment coming on, this image of Bodie recently sold for £30.00 on ebay i was outbid in the last few seconds but i already have a copy so i'm not too disappointed.

Ha - I'm almost always outbid for Pros items (not that I've bid for any for years), I just don't have that kind of money to spend on pics etc. On the bright side, you already have a copy, so that's good!
