Is that a fossil, that shell?!?!?! It looks like one in the photo. If so, that's a truly amazing, wonderful find!

There's actually three different kinds of fossils in the pic! The many many cylinder/pointed shapes are belenmites, there's a couple of devil's toenails and I suspect you're meaning the gorgeous ammonite! I've never seen one so perfect - I'm almost suspicious that it's a piece of jewellery rather than a real fossil! *g*

I'm just eternally gobsmacked that this farm I live on was once the ancient deeps...
