Day Fourteen Happy - Saturday!

Oct 07, 2017 22:43

Today's happies are:
- C25k Week 6 Run Two - two lots of ten minutes running (shuffling jogging), achieved!
- met a bookgroup friend for coffee and chat
- a wee wander of local market village, and finding a relatively picturesque view
- it's the weekend

Basically, despite waking up before 6am with the frets, it's not been a bad day. And it's true - this isn't the perfect job for me, and so having to move again is no more than another chance to find something better and wonderful. And moving house is character-building, right? And I'm sure there's more stuff I could pare down this time...

Worst case scenario, I store my stuff right here where it is for a while (explaining exactly why they shouldn't charge me for the privilege) and sign on as a self-employed proofreader again, but going travelling for a bit while I have a place to leave my stuff without putting it into storage. That would be do-able, right? Three-ish months in New Zealand/Australia(/South Africa?) maybe (Feb-April/May)? Then back here for examining in May/June/July, possibly Germany/Switzerland for late July/August and then move to a place in Somerset (or somewhere else if I've found a different job by then). That should be do-able, right?

So there, another happy. I've re-jigged my worse-case scenario to match their rejigging of my job. Again. I mean, it does depend on the proofreading company accepting me back, but they did say they would, when I was ready, so... It feels much better to have a plan, even if it's not one that I wanted...

Hope you're having a nice weekend...
