Yes, the dark and the red ribbons (of blood?) and the wings of fire (rather than light) are indications that the fight against Evil is a fight indeed, with no holds barred - save the holds they have on the side of the Angels, and the hold (figurative and literal) they have on each other.

It in indeed an inspirational ep (also my favourite one.) :-)
