I went to meet the gang at their hotel this morning - today's stairs are from the Britannia Hotel (originally built as a warehouse in 1851).

Then it was on a bus and out to the Trafford Centre (home of Legoland, which was a great hit with the kids of all ages... *g*). It's also home of architectural bling in a fairly big way!

The only trouble was getting the bus back again, cos we hadn't reckoned with Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band being in town - ack, traffic! But we eventually made it, and all was well. Nephew and I bonded further over Star Wars - clearly a lad of impeccable taste... *g*

In my brother's finest fashion, their plans for tomorrow have been wiped out (nothing under his control, this time, but it happens!) meaning that they'll be hanging around again for the day, and asked if I'd care to join them. Happy-makingly enough, nephew was very keen that I come and see them again, and I couldn't say no... *g* Which does rather throw out my plans to see the John Rylands Library and then beat the traffic out of town, though... I'm determined to get there and see the exhibition though, cos it's right up my street, so I'll have to fit in both!

Otherwise, Manchester has reverted to form after yesterday's blazing sunshine - it rained all day. *vbg*
