Why did the peacock cross the road?

...Um, because that's what they do in Somerset. ;-)

Lovely 'Spring in Somerset' pics. :-)

Sorry to hear about the horrible loud music you're putting up with at the moment (from another post). I knew about Glastonbury of course, but not that the area was so rampant with raves and so forth. How horrible! I sympathize as I'm one who loves quiet, I don't even have the radio on during the day. When you eventually move will you stay in the SW or head for pastures new?

Thank you!

The loud music drives me mad - and like you I had no idea the area was so 'musically' noisy! When I moved into this particular place, I didn't have a lot of options (having had to move on from Wookey Hole), but even so I thought the "Glastonbury" festival (being near Glastonbury) would be more than six fields away, and that the Bath and West Showgrounds would put on show (not music festivals), what with this being the countryside and full of animals and people who presumably live here for the peace and quiet.. *headdesk* Again like you, I don't even have the radio on during the day!

I've no idea what I'll do when I eventually move, to be honest - it's the blessing and curse of not having ties anywhere, I guess, what's the point in being anywhere?! I shall have to start thinking properly... though it occurred to me that I have a Big Birthday coming up next year, and that might be a good time to do something adventurous like wander in New Zealand for a few months - which would involve stuff in storage again, unless I ( ... )

I love the picture of the castle. The slightly misty look, and the flowers in the foreground. And the sunset is gorgeous.

Oh, it does look like a castle actually! Believe it or not, that's a church in a small nearby village! I had to stop the car and reverse back up the road when I caught a glimpse of it over the flowers, though - I knew I wanted that shot! *g*

Mmm I love the light at this time of year, especially down west.

It's beautiful, isn't it - May is perhaps my favourite month... although I have just seen the forecast, which looks non-May-ish - rain, starting the day I start my holiday. Gaaah!
