I just have to say...

...*vbg* Sorry, you get all the images, because at 3am last night - this morning - I did not think I was going to pull this off, and I couldn't imagine how in the world I'd ever thought I might move house and write a 50,000 novel in a single month... But I am such a deadline-girl that - I did. *vbg* I wrote 5363 words today, because between 8.30 and 9am, as I was waking up after not-quite-enough-sleep-really, I realised what I'd completely missed as part of the story, and what I needed to fit in where, and I could suddenly totally get on with it again! And now I have an incomplete 50,000 word novel that will hopefully turn out to be an approximately 100,000 word complete novel by the end of 2015. There, I am setting a goal - I have a goal. *g* Also, because I rather like the dragon image, and the curly-font writing they use - finally, they have attractive graphics... *g*
I did it! *vbg*
Okay - the other thing that I did looks like this...
All very much a work in progress, but I have sofas, a mattress to sleep on, my telly is working, my dvd is working - though the remote control isn't, cos my batteries are still in storage, but I managed to watch a bit of a Pros ep anyway *g* - and I have stuff here. I found a kitchen box in my storage yesterday, got it home and began unwrapping newspaper from 1995 and managed enough crockery to eat dinner from...
Mostly - yeay, I can haz a home of my own! And I have written 50,000 of an original m/m novel! *g* And I still have two days off! *vbg*
Tomorrow the Mans with a Van arrive at 10am, and we go to my Glastonbury storage and take everything out of it and bring it here. This I am now slightly worried about, because there's already quite alot of stuff in here, and where's it all going to go? What with writing and moving and all, I've not made up a single flatpack bookcase yet, and have also had a big disaster - they're too tall for the living room wall! Ack! They fit my bedroom, and they might fit the wall by the door (which you can't see, cos I took the photos from near it *g*) but they're too tall for the main wall I planned them for! They wouldn't have been, but Ikea have only re-jigged the Billy bookcases, and it turns out that one of the jiggings was making them taller... which would normally be good, but in my wee barn conversion - less helpful.
I am, on the other hand, rather chuffed to have my own proper desk again, even if it is facing the door as you come in so that I also feel a bit like a receptionist. I could wave people to my sofas when they arrive, and let them know that they will be seen shortly... *g* But I am totally the queen over my barn conversion, which I can absolutely survey from this seat, and I can reach things that I need - bliss!
I am feeling rather chuffed with myself right now, I have to say - if rather more poverty-stricken than I'd like, having just paid my first Big Rent. Eep! But there are also Jobs that have yet to pay me, so hopefully it'll perk up a bit before Christmas, and in any case I have every intention of hunkering down for December and reading Christmas stories, and Pros-Christmas stories, and watching my dvds, and writing and writing and writing without worrying as much about wordcounts! And walking in the winter fields, and getting to know Somerset a bit better. And Dorset and Wiltshire, cos I'm kind of on the corner. And Devon, just cos. *g*
Just - yeay. *vbg*
