Doctor Who - Listen

Oooh, not an episode to watch on your own in a strange house! On the bright side, my mattress is on the floor... *g*

I adored the opening image though - the Doctor all meditative on top of the Tardis - how brilliant is that!

And then it was just all brilliant and scary (never thought I'd be glad I didn't have furniture), and just when I thought I had it, we rocketed into more future than you can shake a stick at.

And then - Clara actually made a bit more sense to me again! I'm beginning to think that it's every second episode... *g* The whole "impossible girl" thing seemed too closed to me before - okay, so she fell into the matrix and lived all his lives saving the Doctor - and then it was over. Big deal, now she's just pretty and sassy again. But this episode gave her back a bit of her point as the Impossible Girl, I thought - because not only was she there all through saving him, but she was there at the beginning too. Nice. *g* (Teensy bit annoying, cos I think we're all messier than that, and it would be more real if she wasn't quite as pretty and sassy, but... I can appreciate it too.)

What I love the most? That the new Doctor doesn't think she's at all pretty. I adore some of his lines - "Well, it's too late now you've taken off your make-up" - "No I haven't" - "Well you probably just missed a bit"... Heeeeeee! And Why do you need three mirrors? And Her face is so wide she needs three mirrors... And the bit about her eyes. Heeeee! *g*

Now - I liked it alot, which means that all the DW fans no doubt hated it for a thousand reasons. I can't see why right now (except the teensy bit annoying thing - I think we'd've believed in her more if she looked less like Clara Oswald and more like Donna Noble) but I bet it's true. *g* I shall have to go and see what other people though... anyone else who's read this far see it?
