The Community Blood Center

So I went to the blood center a while ago to find out about volunteering.
I will start next month. I will be do some data entry but every now and then I may fill in for the "Ambassadors". These are the people who monitor how the donors are doing after they donate blood. They make sure that the donors have a snack and/or something to drink like juice or soda, etc. They also keep an eye out for any reactions i.e. loss of color, faintness, bleeding at the site, etc. If the donor is having a bad reaction then they go over and just with them & wait for one of the staff members to come out. They have a button they press to notify someone.
I will be "filling-in" if they should need me.

I went and got my refill today. Since they gave me a 3 month refill on everything it cost me $21 something. Plus I have a new medicine she wants me to start taking. Oh goody.
Not too thrilled about that!

So tomorrow I go to the hospital and do my volunteer thing there.

Thursday night the "sonion" and I go to my daughter and s-i-l's for dinner (early birthday dinner).

Then CR on Friday night.

Not sure if I've got anything planned for Saturday but on Sunday is the Shape-Note singing.
Then a bunch of stuff lined up for next week. Ah well. Otherwise I'd probably spend that time bumming around the house.
