Oh my aching back!
My back is really "killing" me right now.
I need to get off of here and take a shower. I don't really want to because- I will have to change into some regular ol' clothes and then later change again into nice clothes to go to my volunteer assignment.
Guess I should anyway. Maybe it will make my back feel better.
I watched Ice Road Truckers last night. Those guys (and one gal) are CRAZY! Yes- the money is good- they get paid "Combat Pay" but still.....
One of the guys who's been on there before (he's from Canada)- he's got 11 kids! I guess he really needs the money but what good is it if he gets killed??????? I hope he has a good insurance plan but - I wonder- can you get insurance (without paying out the nose?) when you have a job like that????
There is one spot on the trip that is called "the Roller Coaster" and I can see why. NO *BLEEPING* WAY would I even attempt that stretch even on a good day!!! You go straight down and then straight back up. It's crazy!
I can't even drive a truck anyway! But even in a car I wouldn't attempt it!
Interesting- they have managed to "pair up" with "Coors beer" and have some commercials that advertise Coors and Ice Road Truckers. I'm not so sure it's a good idea to connect beer and driving a truck. Just as I'm not so sure it's a good idea to have alchoholic beverages and NASCAR (or any racing), yet in a way- it is a good idea because they are reaching the "majority" of their viewers. Rather sad though.
Speaking of the race- Not happy that Stewart won! :(
And Jimmie ran out of gas at the finish and came in something like 6th or 7th instead of 3rd. :(
