He Has Risen!

Praise Be to Our Lord & Savior!

Praise God too for the safe rescue of the captain that was taken hostage. I am glad he is safe and out of harms way.

So I went to church with my friend and her daughter this morning. It was a nice service but a touch more modern than I'm used to. There were two services previous to the one we attended. I think they were probably a bit more traditional.
This church is much larger than the one I attend. They can do things like that.
We used to have two services on Sunday but I guess our new pastor or maybe our congregation couldn't seem to deal with it. Also the Saturday night contemporary service we tried to start just never seemed to really "get off the ground" so-to-speak. I think some of it was due to "church politics" or "inflated egos" - which really shouldn't happen in a church but sadly does.

Anyway - after the service today we had a lunch. It was good and filling.

I really haven't done anything much since I've been home. Oh- I did finally "fix" the buttons on my blouse. I secured them with fishing line. Several seemed to be barely "hanging-on".
Oh- I also paid the electric bill. My son is going to write me a check to deposit in the bank tomorrow. I have enough to cover it but it's going to really leave my account pretty low.
Bless his heart. He's going to more or less have to cover the all of the bills for this month and rent for next and possibly the bills again for the following month. I really need to get a job even if it's part time or for minimum wage or whatever.
Tomorrow I will be doing volunteer work at Goodwill in the HR dept. I'm looking forward to that.
I be volunteering at the hospital on Wednesday AND Thursday. However on Thursday I will be in the ER dept. doing clerical work. Should be interesting. I wonder if my knowledge of Medical Terminology will come in to play?
I wonder how long it will be before I hear about my unclaimed property? I also wonder if I'll be disappointed. I mean- for all I know it will turn out to be only 50 cents or something like that. Sure would be nice if it's something like a thousand dollars or more. Well OK- even $50 or $100 would be nice. Anything is possible I guess.
