German Christmas Concert
So tonight I am going with two friends of mine to see the free German Christmas Concert.
I used to go with my husband and kids but that was many years ago.
For a few years I went with some other friends of mine(an elderly couple), but the past few years they have had other plans and couldn't go. So last year I ask a couple of other friends and they seemed to enjoy it so we are going again. I don't like to go to things by myself.
I know enough German to understand what the songs are about and to explain to my friends. Also they usually do some explaining about the song(s) they are going to sing before they sing them. Some songs they sing in English or a German and English mix.
The last song is always Silent Night and they start off in German and I think the last verse is sung in English with the audience joining in. Very nice.
