Sorry - no pics yet. I made myself a hot/cold pack yesterday. Just take a man's/boy's tube sock and fill it with rice. I think I put two lbs. of rice in mine. Some say you can also use dried beans or corn I think. I also add the contents of 3 pouches of Sleep Time tea for aroma- this isn't necessary however. Then I sewed up the end of the tube sock.
If you want to use it as a heating pad/pack then put in microwave on high for anywhere from 1 - 3 minutes. No longer than 3 minutes though!
For ice pack then place in freezer for (I'm guessing here) 1/2 hour. No worries on how long you can leave in freezer though. No dangers I should say. Whatever you do- DON'T put a twisty tie on the end to close it off! I did that once without thinking and had a small fire in my microwave!
