Well I'm at the library right now. I am using one of their computers.
We've been without power here in Dayton since Sunday. Sunday we got terrible wind storm(s)and power went out here in most of Dayton and several other cities here in Ohio and even some in KY, PA and IND.
Many people lost trees or had trees that lost limbs (some very large).
I had several in my front and back yards. Also many power lines down and traffic signals knocked out. Not good. *sigh* -All those movies I was planning to watch. So much for that!
I had to toss some food. I now have a few things in a cooler. Some lunch meat, salad, salad dressing.
I cleaned the frig today. What a job. But none-the-less it needed to be done. So I just hope it stays clean for awhile.
Went to the church yesterday to charge my cell phone. They had power.
I've been listening to my radio and people have been calling in to WHIO with good ideas for "surviving" this. One idea was to buy a frozen turkey and put it in a large cooler. Put some things around it (I would think you would want to put a thin cloth between the turkey and other things to avoid contamination) and anyway- when it's thawed then cook it in a turkey fryer (unless your power comes back on or you have a gas stove). Another idea was to bring in your solar powered walkway lights to use at night for light.
One big problem is finding ice. No one seems to have ice. All sold out. :( I did manage to find a place yesterday and bought 3 small bags. I also bought some candles and batteries. I wanted to get some more ice today but all the places I called were out.
Well I want to do some other stuff online so I guess that's all for now.
Hopefully power will be restore at home soon. Bye
