Drunk? Stupid? Distracted? Computer Glitch? What?
Well I've sort of figured out what happened with my paycheck, but I don't know WHY it happened.
1. They had the hours worked correct. 35
2. They had the pay rate wrong- 9.00
35*9=315.00 Gross Pay
Now we start doing some more math.
315.00
minus
12.94 Federal W/H
24.10-FICA
4.57-State W/H
7.08-City
equals
266.31
Then they subtracted
1.12 (I have NO IDEA what that's supposed to be for!)
Total - 265.19
But!- They state that I have an OVERPAYMENT of 265.19
And my NET PAY is listed as: 1.12!
I sure hope I can remain cool and calm when I call on Monday. If I get grief from them then I am very likely to loose it. If I loose it- well I may loose my next assignment as well.
I also get the feeling that any money I should be getting I won't get until this next Thursday when I get my next check.
Like I said before- It's a good thing I have enough money in the bank already to cover my expenses.
