Sad Thought

Jul 03, 2008 10:07

My aunt will be 93 tomorrow. Yes- she was born on the 4th of July.

That's not what's sad. What's sad is- she used to live about 15 minutes from me and I could go see her or call her and be near her almost any time I pleased. She used to help me a lot and I help her (probably not as much as she helped me though).

I miss her terribly.

What's sad (very sad) is that I'll most likely never see her again.

She lives in Rochester, NY now. She moved there in 2005. I know she is better off because she is living in a senior apartment place where they make sure you take your medicine when you are supposed to and she eats when she's supposed to, etc. Plus she is closer to both of her daughters (her oldest also lives in Rochester and the other is 3 hours away in Canada).

But anyway- I still miss her and like I said- the chances that I'll see her again before she dies are not that great.

I do think she'll live to be at least 100. - If she does- I'm sure going to try like crazy to be there for her birthday!

I already missed my other aunt's 100th birthday (my mom's sister). She died after her 101th birthday.

missing, sad, death, aunt, seeing people again, loved ones
