LTTO: Report
Well, at 3:15 both Sean and killernurd called in rapid succession to see if things were on. Sean indicated that Manassas Park had been clear and sunny all day, so we made a last minute decision to un-cancel and give it a go.
I arrived about 4:15 with equipment in tow and gave the briefing, demoning the sounds, lights and capabilities of each device.
Multiple games were played, usually team games, but we had one interesting game of OWNZ (Own the Zone) in the picnic table area. Lots of running in and bluffing that you were shooting the opponents (limited clip game).
I've learned a few things.
1) I enjoy being outdoors with purpose.
2) I get pulled into crossfires way too often.
3) I need to curb my desire to rush (unless I think it can finish off the opponent)
4) I don't care that I'm not really good - it's still all good fun.
No idea when the next event will be, but it will be posted when we have a plan. I would anticipate no earlier than last weekend of October or First Weekend of Novemeber.
