A Little Warmer
It is a little warmer today, but not unbearable.
Received our water bill to-day-- we were credited for $362 which offsets hiring the plumber and the money for the additional stuff purchased at Ace Hardware and Freddies. Even without that our bill would have been $1000+ less than it was the previous quarter when our toilet water use was uncontrolled.
Our current toilet does have a small leak, so it occasionally refills for no apparent reason.
Marisa also thinks that next quarter we have have reduced water use from not doing laundry here. Might as well get some savings we can apply toward the coin operated machines. Marisa likes the ones by the post office, not the machines across the street which are often caked with scented detergents.
So now our T-mobile bill is around $60-$65 dollars each month because the cellphone purchase plan ended. Our water use is curtailed, so less money for water. Every little bit helps now that I have city permit and asbestos removal expenses on the credit card bill to pay.
Our basement stairs will be closed treads, which is a good thing!
At work it is really quiet. Many are probably taking off a day early to grow their 3-day weekend into 4 days. I have to clean out my disk usage to get some work done, but everything is running smoothly again after fixing one issue our QA caught.
I also asked that we better focus our QA and my boss said we will do that, so I am happy about that.
Marisa got groceries to-day and I helped her retrieve the bags from the car and fed Crowley, the outdoors cat who seems to stick around our house all the time. Aziraphale, the sibling of Crowley (both descendants of Petunia) is in the 'hood and visits sometimes but is not on social terms with A.
The plan for to-morrow is to finish moving the bricks and such to LBT, dig out the window well and dig to the cottonwood (?) tree so we have an area for the house parts. It would be a good time to weed wack the park strip and sweep the front walks. Also I will clean up the kitchen and clean out the litter boxes.
Sunday I will move stuff by the stairwell into the cellar, then start working to clear a path to the water shut off valve and the electrical box.
Monday I will finish anything I didn't finish, then look at tearing out parts of the back room and removing the back door with its hardware.
