As I didn't get help from Pileus on sending email from Thunderbird (b), I tried the smtp for centurylink. It works! So I get email on b from microsoft365's server, but I send email from b using smtp.centurylink.net.
Also, I believe that Pileus is now filtering alot of my email now. It used to do this through this quarantine system but I could teach it not to do this.
It would not accept my google alerts, for instance. I was getting probably one of these each day. Now: none.
I had this same problem at the beginning of service last July (July 2022).
As I have the centurylink email working correctly (I can send email back and forth to b, byron@zolacmedia.com), I thought I would try switching my registered google email to zolamanor@centurylink.net. Google said it sent a verification email to z, but I checked: did not show up!
Strange.
Definitely that quarantine is not working. I found an old quarantine message in my trash at b, but its links say no access for "my company."
I will try to sign up for something else using z and see if it works.
